I have been selling my baked goods locally for over a year but I just opened my etsy shop this past August.

how did you learn to do what you do?
I have always loved to bake so when I learned I had gluten and dairy allergies over 3 years ago, I taught myself how to bake without them!

where do you find your inspiration?
I started with my favorite recipes and converted them… Now I search through cookbooks vegan, gluten free and traditional for inspiration. I just start with a recipe and play around with new ingredients and measurements until it becomes my own!

what is your favorite product in your shop?
Right now I am selling a cupcake kit to support a friend’s adoption. I’m so excited to use my business to give back and I just really love the kit!

what is your favorite handmade shop?
Oh goodness. SO many amazing ones!! I could browse etsy for DAYS and not come up with a fave. I’m sorry, I’m way too indecisive for this question!

give us one tip for aspiring handmade artists.
I’m still totally figuring it all out, but I think my best advice is to find a great support system and go for it! I feel insecure about starting a business all the time but my friends and family (especially my sweet husband) are so wonderful and supportive that I can’t give up I’m so happy I’m going for it!
