lucky number seven
i have been thinking. a lot. about this number.
7
and about how i am going to make seven pounds disappear from my body in the next few days.
for starters, i am going to stop having nutella and toast for breakfast.
unfortunately that has nothing to do with the fact that i want to lose these seven pounds and everything to do with the fact that i am completely out of nutella.
i may or may not have scooped every last bit out with my finger last night. just sayin.
i had a couple people mention the 30 day shred with what's-her-face from the biggest loser.
i'm not going to lie. this woman scares the living daylights out of me. it also just happens that i received that as a birthday gift from some friends.
i know. i thought the same thing. but then i remembered that it was on my amazon wish list and got glad in the same pants i got mad in.
so i am hemming & hawing about whether or not i should submit to her hellacious video.
i also kind of have to decide the date that this little 30 day detox is over. because i first read & blogged about it on may 10th. but i didn't set any goals until may 13th.
in the interest of giving myself an extra seventy-two hours to burn off some fatty tissue, i am going to say that i have until june 13th. how does that sound with you?
good? good. i like you. we can be friends.
so here is how i am going to do it:
no more soft drinks.
no more beer. (yah. i have a beer occasionally.)
run three days a week.
spend one day of the weekend outside, doing some sort of activity.
(yardwork, sanding something, throwing a frisbee, etc.)
and that is it.
and p.s.
the more you people help me, encourage me, and keep me on track the better i will do. so please please encourage me because i need it. im a terrible self motivator and your sweet comments always make me feel like i am working towards something for the good of us all. i will love you forever and ever. amen.
If you are too intimidated you could get Lindsey Brin Shed 5 lbs Fast from Moms Into Fitness. It is about $10 and is a 30 day type video, but there are other exercises you do that she provides on her site to brake things up a bit. I honestly had more success with that video that with 30 Day Shred. I think the cardio helped me to lose the most inches where as Jillian offered me more strength training. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI started the 30 DS last year and made it to day 19. It isn't too bad but I did get a little bored. I made a paper chain to keep track because if I skipped a day, I forgot where I was. I did the same paper for 10 days and another paper for the next 10 days etc. Everyday after my workout I would tear off a chain. It helped keep me motivated until day 19....
ReplyDeleteGood luck! = ) You can do it! I'm in need of dropping a few too. Maybe you'll inspire me!
ReplyDeleteYou can do it, Skye!!! 7 is a good goal. Jillian Michaels scares the crap out of me, too; but I kind of want to train with her! Be careful with any of the detox stuff, though, b/c some of the products are really just to flush fluids from your body- i.e., they dehydrate you. So, if you're going to use some kind of product, in combination with the increased activity (it doesn't sound like you are, but...) you should be sure to up your water intake a LOT!
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, rock on, my dear! I am formulating my blog in my brain right now... Hopefully I will have something ready for preview next week!
First, let me say. I believe in you and you can do this!!!
ReplyDeleteSecond, be very afraid of the dvd. ;) But, she may be scary but she's hardcore and worth it!
you are a way better woman than me. i haaaaaaaaate running. like, a lot. and i'm not one of those people who just decides she hates running never having actually tried it. no, for 5 months i tried. and tried. i really tried hard to love it. no, it didn't work. i hate it. so i am super impressed with you and also, i completelyyy believe you can do this. you are a strong woman, lady! i admire you for that!
ReplyDelete1. Just below this post on my google reader (impressed I remembered? yeah, me too!) is an ad for gastric bypass. Still getting used to the ads, my first thought was NOT AN OPTION. But now, it's just kind of funny :)
ReplyDelete2. IDK who that woman is everyone is scared of, but you got this! I'm so proud of your goals. Can you write some down for me?
3. I'm starting my cleanse Monday, then lean in 13. That will wrap up June 14th. So, along with support...how about some company?
You go girl!!
ReplyDeleteI started eating healthier today and have committed myself to doing some kind of activity every single day. My sister and I have agreed to hold each other responsible to doing this thing!!
Good luck and make sure to update us all.
I don't know why you say you are a terrible self motivator?? You can do anything if you put your mind to it. Yeah, I know, sounds like something your parents told you when you were a little girl. :) Honestly though, you can totally do it and I have faith that you will.
ReplyDeleteNina
you can do eet!!
ReplyDeleteYou are being a good steward of the body God gave you, and He will bless that!!
I have a feeling with as much moving, cleaning, lifting, rearranging, trash-taking-out, taking stuff to goodwill and everything else we are trying to squeeze in to 24 hours. You may just loose that 7 pounds tonight and tomorrow. Just saying! :-) Ready to hug your neck!!
